Feeding Eastern Washington

Founded in 1971 as a central warehouse for a handful of emergency food pantries in Spokane, Second Harvest now provides free food to 250 neighborhood food banks, meal centers and other hunger-relief programs in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. These programs feed more than 50,000 people each week. Generous support from the food industry and other donors combined with dedicated volunteers makes it possible for Second Harvest to provide more than 350,000 meals a week for hungry children, families and seniors in the region.
